Employer and Provider Partnerships

Employer and Provider Partnerships

fdf has brought together resources that will assist providing institutions in developing partnerships with employers.

All providers of higher education recognise that the development of effective partnerships with employers is a core aspect of their mission, and a critical success factor for the achievement of their service objectives and their financial aims. However, it is widely recognised that such partnerships require time, effort and planning if they are to be successful and sustainable, that they can be challenging to achieve, and potentially expensive in time and effort.

Employer and Provider Partnerships is designed to provide a framework that institutions can draw from and adapt according to their particular needs and circumstances, for each stage in the process of partnership development. It can be used at every level in the institution (organisational strategy, operational curriculum management, course/departmental team) to assist discussions about vision, strategy and practice.

Institutions may find it useful to organise an institution-wide programme of sequential and iterative discussions across all levels of the organisation to inform the development of an institutional plan for employer engagement. fdf offers a consultancy service to institutions that will facilitate such discussions. This offer provides:

Half-day consultancy
Planning a programme of activity that meets your needs

One-day development programme
Looking at the context, developing strategy, developing business models, action planning to deliver progress

Half-day follow-up
Identify outcomes and look at future needs
